In 1985, Michael Jordan was the NBA Rookie
of
the Year, Back to the Future
was showing in theaters, and Tom Brusky was a kid creating really bad
music on his Casiotone
CT-310 keyboard. The 1980s was an era when electronic pop dominated the
music charts. Dreamy synth pads and big reverbs became a staple sound
of the MTV generation.
Broken
Mirrors captures the synth-pop sound of
the
80s, reminiscent of such bands as Starship, Tears for Fears, and
Spandau Ballet. It's a song about a couple coming to terms with the
need and
decision to divorce. Performing the vocals is San Vb, a talented
singer, musician, and producer from Santa Barbara, California.
