Dan
Tutsch (pronounced "touch") has been a staple figure in Milwaukee's
polka music scene for nearly half a century. He started performing
with the Tony Rademacher Band in the late 1970s, and 45
years later, is still in demand as a banjo and guitar player in the
polka
circuit. What he is undoubtedly best known for, however, is his
singing prowess and unique, rich baritone voice.
Dan has appeared on several of Tom Brusky's recordings over the years,
but it was time for Dan to take the spotlight. He commissioned Tom to produce covers of
songs that left
an
indelible
memory in his heart while growing up. Dan
personally selected
each one of these songs spanning from the 1950s through the 1980s.
Collectively, they illustrate one's journey from the heartbreak of love
lost to the joy of new love found.

From
March to November, 2024, Tom spent over
250 hours
in the studio faithfully recreating these songs with sounds
reminiscent of the original recordings going back 40 to 65 years. He was cleared to pull out all the stops,
so he hired all the background vocalists needed to ensure these
renditions
captured that classic "wall of singers" sound.
If you remember the pop ballads of the 1960s and classic country
ballads of the 1980s, this collection of songs — saturated
with warm, analog sound — will take you on a trip back in time. Enjoy
the ride!
